A partially clothed man with long hair holds a cross-topped staff in an architectural niche
The full-length vertical painting depicts a man standing within a dark architectural niche. The man faces slightly to his left, his gaze directed upwards and to the left. He has light skin, long, wavy light brown hair, and a sparse, short beard. His right arm is bare, with the hand raised to his chest, index finger pointing upwards. His left arm is mostly covered by fabric, and his left hand holds a tall, slender wooden staff that extends from the bottom of the frame to above his head. The staff has a small horizontal crossbar near its top. The man wears a sleeveless, light brown garment draped over his right shoulder and chest, secured by a thin green cord around his waist. A large piece of reddish-brown fabric is draped over his left shoulder, around his waist, and down his left leg, leaving his right leg and both feet bare. The draped fabric on his left leg features lighter, almost bluish-white highlights. The architectural niche behind him is dark brown and recessed. Above his head, a fluted, shell-like arch is visible. On either side of the figure, the niche is framed by light gray pilasters adorned with green and gold decorative elements at their tops and bottoms. The floor beneath his bare feet is a light gray-brown. The dominant colors are earthy browns, deep reds, and cool grays, with subtle accents of green and gold.
