A bearded figure on a white donkey approaches a walled city, with a crowd and other figures
This black and white artwork depicts a scene of figures moving towards a city. In the center, a bearded figure with a halo, wearing dark robes, rides a white donkey facing right. Behind this central figure, on the left, a group of approximately seven robed figures stands on a stylized, light-toned rocky landscape with jagged formations. A dark, gnarled tree with dense, dark foliage stands behind the central figure and the donkey, its trunk curving upwards. The donkey walks on a path that slopes gently downwards. Below the donkey's head, near the bottom center, two smaller figures are on the ground; one kneels, and the other lies prone, appearing to spread a garment. On the right side of the image, a large, fortified city with multiple towers and domed roofs rises prominently. A crowd of about ten people stands outside the city walls, facing the central figure. Some individuals in the crowd hold small branches. All figures are depicted with visible faces and hands. At the very top, a line of Cyrillic script is visible, reading "ВХОД В ИЕРУСАЛИМ ГДА ИСА ХС".
