Two panels: a crucifixion scene on the left, a divine judgment scene on the right
This artwork, framed in a reddish-brown border, presents two vertical panels. The left panel shows a scene of three figures on crosses against a pale blue and green sky. The central figure, larger than the others, wears a white loincloth, with a plaque above their head reading "INRI". Two smaller figures, one with a white loincloth and the other with a dark one, hang on crosses to the central figure's left and right. Below them, a dense crowd of figures on horseback and foot fills the mid-ground, many in colorful garments of red, blue, green, and purple. Spears and banners extend upwards. In the foreground, a group of figures is depicted. A woman in a blue robe leans into the arms of another woman in a dark robe. A woman in a green dress kneels with outstretched arms. A distant town and hills are visible in the background under a pale sky with a crescent moon. The right panel is divided into three main sections. At the top, a central figure sits on a rainbow, wearing a deep red robe, with a golden orb beneath their feet. This figure is surrounded by winged figures and other robed figures, including a woman in a blue robe and a man in a green robe. Winged figures blow trumpets. Below the central figure, a large crowd of figures, some in white shrouds and others in monastic robes, rise from the earth, looking upwards. In the middle section, a large, dark, winged creature with a skull-like head and bat-like wings stands over a chasm, holding a shield and a sword. The bottom section depicts a chaotic scene filled with numerous naked figures interacting with grotesque, dark-colored, monstrous creatures. Fires are visible, and various forms of physical interaction are shown, including a large, monstrous creature devouring figures. Faint text is visible along the top and bottom edges of both panels' frames.
