Fan painting of blue-green mountains, dark trees, a small building, and calligraphic text
A fan-shaped painting depicts a detailed mountainous landscape rendered in a muted palette on a golden-brown background. The surface is marked with faint vertical lines, suggesting the folds of a fan. In the upper left quadrant, several vertical lines of black calligraphic text are visible, followed by a small, square red seal. Another, smaller red seal is located at the very bottom left edge. The landscape is dominated by a series of rugged mountains, primarily depicted in shades of blue-green and grey, with darker outlines and textured brushstrokes suggesting rock formations. These mountains rise from the lower edge of the fan, extending upwards and across the width of the composition. Dark green trees, some with slender trunks and others with fuller canopies, are scattered throughout the scene, growing on slopes and in valleys. In the central lower portion, nestled among the trees and at the base of a mountain, is a small, dark-roofed building, possibly a pavilion, elevated on stilts or a raised platform. Small clusters of white or light pink blossoms are visible on some trees and shrubs in the mid-ground, adding subtle touches of color. The right side of the painting continues the mountainous terrain, with steep cliffs and more dense tree growth. A small red seal is also visible at the bottom right edge.
