A fan painting depicts a misty mountain landscape with a river, trees, and small buildings
The artwork is a fan-shaped painting rendered in ink and light colors on a light-toned surface. The composition depicts a vast, layered mountain landscape. A wide, light-colored river or stream flows across the foreground, moving towards the lower left and right edges. Along its banks, scattered trees with dark foliage and bare branches are visible. Small, simple structures, possibly huts or houses, are nestled among the trees on both sides of the water, particularly in the central-left area. Behind the foreground elements, a series of mountains rise, varying in height and detail. The mountains in the mid-ground are rendered with darker ink washes, showing textured rock faces and dense clusters of trees. Some trees appear to be evergreen, while others have sparse, dark branches. Further back, the mountains become progressively lighter and hazier, appearing distant and misty, with faint blue-gray tones. The highest peaks are in the upper central and right portions of the fan. In the upper left section of the fan, several vertical lines of black calligraphic text are present. Below this text, two square red seals are stamped. Two additional square red seals are visible near the lower left and lower right edges of the fan, partially obscured by the curve of the fan's edge.
