A gnarled dark ink tree branch with delicate light blossoms on a pale background
This vertical ink painting is on a light, cream-colored ground, framed by a narrow, light brown border. A prominent, gnarled tree branch, rendered in varying shades of dark grey and black ink, extends from the upper right corner. This thick branch curves downwards and slightly to the left, its textured surface indicated by broad brushstrokes. From this branch, numerous thinner, more delicate branches extend further downwards and outwards, rendered with lighter grey ink. These slender branches are adorned with clusters of small, light-colored blossoms, appearing as tiny dots along their lengths. In the upper right, behind the main branch, a faint, broad wash of light grey ink appears as a larger, indistinct form. The majority of the background remains a clear, unadorned cream color. In the lower left corner, a small, square red seal and a few faint, dark ink characters are visible.
