A person rides a water buffalo through tall grasses and water, with rocks in the foreground
The fan-shaped artwork, rendered in shades of black, grey, and pale blue-green on a light, off-white background, shows a person riding a water buffalo. In the central right portion of the image, a dark-colored water buffalo is partially submerged in water, facing towards the right. A small figure is seated on the buffalo's back, wearing light-colored clothing and holding a thin line or stick that extends forward. Ripples are visible in the water around the buffalo. To the left and behind the buffalo, dense clumps of tall, pale blue-green grasses emerge from the water, extending across the mid-ground. In the bottom left foreground, several dark grey and black rocks are visible, some partially submerged, with smaller dark shapes scattered nearby. More sparse, pale blue-green grasses appear in the upper right background. Black calligraphic text is present at the top center of the fan, accompanied by two small red square seals. A single red square seal is also visible in the bottom left corner of the painting.
