A painted fan with large chrysanthemums, smaller white flowers, a dark rock, and vertical text
A fan-shaped painting depicts large chrysanthemums, smaller white flowers, and a dark rock formation on a light brown background. Three prominent, spiky chrysanthemums are arranged across the composition: one on the far left, another in the upper center, and a third in the lower center-right. These large flowers have numerous thin petals, appearing in shades of light brown and yellow with darker outlines. Behind and between these larger blooms, a dark, irregular mass, possibly a rock or gnarled tree trunk, rises vertically from the bottom edge towards the top center. Its surface shows variations in dark gray and brown tones. To the right of this central mass, several clusters of smaller white flowers with green leaves are depicted. These smaller blooms have fewer, broader petals. Thin green stems and leaves are visible throughout the composition, accompanying both the large and small flowers, with some grass-like elements appearing towards the bottom right. On the far left side of the fan, a block of vertical script is present, written in dark ink. Below this text, a small, square red seal is visible. Faint radial lines are visible across the entire painted surface. The edges of the fan are irregular and show signs of wear.
