A gnarled tree with white blossoms and green weeping leaves on gold and green grounds
A six-panel screen painting depicts a large, flowering tree against a reflective gold background. The tree's gnarled, dark brown trunk, mottled with green, begins at the lower right and extends diagonally upwards and leftwards, dominating the central and right panels. Its branches, laden with clusters of small, white blossoms, spread across the upper half of the screen. Long, slender, light green leaves hang downwards from the branches, resembling a weeping willow. The upper two-thirds of the screen is a uniform, reflective gold. The lower third features a gently undulating green ground, with lighter shades at the top transitioning to darker greens at the bottom. Scattered across the green ground are various small plants and flowers: a cluster of pink flowers on the far left, small blue and yellow flowers near the base of the main tree, and several curled green shoots resembling fiddlehead ferns along with a few yellow flowers on the right. A small, circular red seal is visible on the far right panel, near the ground line.
