Six-panel screen with white flowers and green leaves on a gold background
A six-panel screen features botanical motifs on a shimmering gold background. The entire surface is covered in this gold, which appears to have a subtle, horizontal brushstroke texture. Against this luminous backdrop, several clusters of flowering plants are depicted, seemingly growing upwards from an unseen ground line at the bottom of the panels. There are three distinct groupings of these plants, spaced across the six panels. The leftmost grouping, spanning the first two panels, consists of two plants: a taller one with two white flowers and a shorter one with a single white flower. The central grouping, occupying the middle two panels, is the most dense, featuring multiple stems and several white flowers in various stages of bloom. The rightmost grouping, on the last two panels, mirrors the left with two plants, one taller with two flowers and one shorter with a single flower. The flowers are rendered in a soft, opaque white, with delicate, slightly ruffled petals. Their centers are a very pale yellow or light green. The leaves are a vibrant, deep green, with some lighter green highlights, and exhibit a distinct lobed or serrated shape. The stems are slender and green. The plants are arranged with ample space between them, allowing the gold background to dominate much of the composition. A small, circular red seal is visible on the far right panel, positioned to the lower right of the rightmost plant.
