Trees, rocky islands, water, a small pavilion, and a bridge in an ink wash landscape
A horizontal ink wash painting on light-colored paper depicts a monochromatic landscape. The composition is dominated by water, rocky islands, and various trees, rendered in shades of black and gray ink. On the far left, a cluster of tall, slender trees with dark, dense foliage rises from a rocky bank. Below these trees, several large, rounded rock formations emerge from a body of water that occupies the lower half of the painting. Moving towards the center, a small, open-sided pavilion with a dark, peaked roof stands on a rocky shore, its base partially submerged or at the water's edge. To the right of the pavilion, a dense grouping of trees, some with bare, gnarled branches and others with lighter, sparse foliage, grows on a prominent rocky island. Further right, a simple wooden bridge with two vertical posts on each side spans a narrow channel of water, connecting two rocky landmasses. The rightmost section of the painting features a steep, textured rocky cliff face. Across the top of the painting, several circular and rectangular red seals are stamped, containing illegible characters. Additional smaller red seals and vertical lines of illegible text are visible along the right edge of the painting. The background beyond the water and landforms is a light, unpainted expanse.
