Ink landscape with towering mountains, dense trees, a small building, and calligraphy
This monochrome ink wash painting depicts a mountainous landscape rendered in shades of gray and black on a light, uncolored background. Towering mountains rise from the midground to the top edge of the painting, their forms softened by what appears to be mist or atmospheric perspective. On the right side, a vertical lighter streak suggests a waterfall cascading down a mountain face. In the midground, rolling hills are visible, with a small, simple building nestled among them on the left side, its roof and walls subtly defined. Numerous trees are scattered throughout the scene. In the foreground and midground, several prominent trees with dark, dense foliage and visible trunks stand on the slopes, particularly on the right and center. Smaller, more sparsely depicted trees and vegetation line the hillsides. The upper left portion of the painting features vertical lines of black calligraphy, accompanied by several red square seals. Additional red seals are present in the lower left and lower right corners of the artwork, outside the main painted area. The varying ink tones and brushwork create a sense of visual depth.
