Three figures beneath a large overhanging structure, with a bell, and one holding a net
The artwork depicts three figures beneath a large, dark, overhanging structure. The upper half of the composition is dominated by this structure, which appears as a massive, textured form, possibly a mountain, cave ceiling, or a heavily thatched roof, rendered in varying shades of dark gray and black. Lighter gray and faint blue tones suggest mist or sky above and behind this structure. A bell-like object hangs from the underside of the overhanging mass, near the center, suspended by two thin lines. The lower half of the painting features three human figures. On the far left, a figure with a light-colored garment is seated or kneeling, looking towards the right. In the center, another figure, dressed in a dark garment, stoops forward, holding a long pole that extends into a net or basket-like implement. To the right of this central figure, a third individual, wearing a striped garment, is also stooping, seemingly engaged in an activity close to the ground. The ground or water beneath the figures is indicated by horizontal brushstrokes in light gray and black. Subtle reddish-brown hues are visible on the net-like implement and within some of the ground details. In the lower left corner, vertical script in black ink is visible, followed by a red, circular seal.
