A bird with blue-green wings flies past tall, slender reeds on a vertical scroll
This vertical scroll painting features a bird in flight and tall, slender plants against a light, neutral background. The artwork is framed by a narrow, light-colored border on the sides, and decorative patterned borders at the top and bottom. On the left side of the composition, slightly above the center, a bird is depicted in mid-flight, angled downwards and to the right. Its wings are a dark blue-green, and its underside appears lighter, possibly a pale brown or off-white. Its beak points downwards. On the right side of the painting, a cluster of tall, thin, dark-lined plants or reeds extends vertically, some reaching towards the top edge. A few of these plants have small, feathery or seed-like tops. Below the bird and to its right, near the cluster of plants, are several small red and black characters arranged vertically. Another faint, small, circular mark is visible near the bottom left.
