A vertical scroll painting depicts two colorful birds perched on a flowering branch against a light background
A vertical scroll painting features a gnarled tree branch with white flowers and two birds against a light tan background. The scroll is framed by a teal border with a subtle patterned design. A large bird with a dark green and blue body, a long, flowing tail, and red legs is perched on an upper section of the branch, facing right and looking downwards. This bird has a prominent white crest on its head and a reddish face. Below it, on a lower, thicker part of the branch, a smaller bird with a light brown and pinkish body and a shorter tail is perched, facing left and looking upwards towards the larger bird. The branch itself is dark brown and appears gnarled and textured, extending diagonally from the upper left to the lower right. White flowers with yellow centers and green leaves are scattered along the branch, with a cluster near the top left and another larger cluster in the lower right. On the left side of the painting, near the upper bird, there is a vertical column of black characters, with a red seal below it. Another red seal is visible in the lower right corner of the main painting area.
