A vertical painting features white chrysanthemums with green leaves, alongside black calligraphy and red seals
This vertical painting on a light, off-white background depicts a cluster of white chrysanthemums with green and bluish-grey leaves. The flowers are arranged in several stalks, extending from the lower left and center upwards. Many chrysanthemums are fully bloomed, appearing large and round with numerous delicate white petals. Other flowers are smaller, some still in bud form, with a few partially open. The stems are thin and light brown or green. A small, dark insect, possibly a dragonfly or bee, is visible near a large white chrysanthemum in the upper left. In the upper right section, a column of black calligraphy reads: "甲午秋分後十日寫于松崖". Below this, two smaller lines read "惜墨齋" and "項谷雅". In the upper left section, another column of black calligraphy reads: "白露先零心後扣", followed by "法接形似玄乃見", "曲人古貌氣正", and "禮儀丁卯題". Numerous red seals, varying in shape from square to rectangular and circular, are stamped throughout the painting. They are primarily located along the top, left, and right edges, and interspersed among the calligraphy. Each seal contains black or white characters.
