Two birds fly above red and white flowering plants and distant blue-green mountains
The painting is vertically oriented with a light, muted tan background. In the upper half, two birds are depicted in flight. The upper bird is slightly larger and positioned higher, with its head facing right and wings spread. Its plumage is a mix of light brown, tan, and darker brown on the wings. A second, slightly smaller bird is positioned below and to the left of the first, also in flight with wings spread, facing left. Its coloring is similar. Below the birds, in the mid-ground, are several pointed mountain peaks rendered in a soft, light blue-green hue, receding into the distance. The lower half of the painting is dominated by a dense cluster of flowering plants. A tall stalk of what appears to be hollyhocks rises at the bottom right, featuring numerous roundish green leaves and both red and white blossoms. The red flowers are open and bell-shaped, while the white ones are more clustered. To the left of the hollyhocks, long, slender green leaves extend upwards, interspersed with a few peach or light orange-colored lily-like flowers with prominent stamens. At the very bottom left, a dark, textured patch of ground is visible, suggesting a slight incline.
