Two hanging scrolls, one with black text and red seals, the other with reeds and a bird
Two vertical hanging scrolls are displayed side-by-side against a dark, plain background. Each scroll features a light brown top and bottom section, separated by a wider, reddish-brown section with a subtle, repeating geometric pattern. In the center of each scroll's patterned section is a rectangular panel of light cream-colored paper. The left scroll's central panel is filled with dense, vertical lines of black calligraphic text, written in a fluid, brushstroke style. Several small, square or rectangular red seal marks are visible among the characters, primarily in the lower left portion of the text block. The right scroll's central panel depicts a minimalist landscape. The lower half of the panel is dominated by a dense cluster of tall, thin reeds or grasses, rendered in dark grey and black, extending horizontally across the width of the panel. A small, dark bird with a long, pointed beak is visible among the reeds, positioned slightly to the right of center and facing right. The upper half of this panel is largely empty, light cream space, with a few faint, short vertical lines of text or marks in the upper left corner. Both scrolls have a thin, horizontal bar at the very top with a small loop for hanging, and a thicker, cylindrical roller bar at the very bottom.
